The ladies from L's office were nice enough to buy us some staples before we got here, one of those was milk. They bought us two kinds: a shelf stable one (box) and one refrigerated one (the bags). So apparently the bagged milk we need to boil. We found out why, when we saw it delivered to a neighbors door and leave it outside. The interesting thing is that the boxed milk which is shelf stable specifically states that it doesn't need to be boiled. According to a reliable source (AB), it is very typical here to drink warm milk.
